Paul is a senior security and investigations consultant. He oversees complex commercial investigations on behalf of clients. These include fraud, cyber, regulatory and extortion matters. He is considered to be an expert in ’social engineering’ and human factor security. Routinely providing expert advice to legal and insurance industry partners, and offering a bespoke and discrete service to a range of industries including banking, insurance and retail.
Previously Paul has operated as a Special Advisor to the UK government. His expertise meant he had responsibility for working across departments, providing crisis management, security and investigatory advice at the highest levels. This included attending ministerial Cabinet Office briefings (COBR) as required.
A senior leader within New Scotland Yard. He was responsible for the management of serious matters such as cyber extortion, terrorism and criminal financing. He also led the UK Hostage Negotiation response to international terrorism matters.
Paul is an associate tutor with the University of Leicester. He works within the School of Management and lectures on the Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management MSc course. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP). He holds current memberships with the UK Security Institute, and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
